The Garden State Storytellers’ League was founded in 1982. Membership in the league is open to adults who are storytellers or are interested in the Art of Storytelling. Monthly meetings, workshops, and Story Swaps are held. Storytellers perform at various places such as museums, libraries, community fairs, Girl/Boy Scout meetings, etc. Members receive Here and There, a newsletter, a yearbook with a themed annotated storytelling bibliography, Story Art, a magazine for storytellers, and information about national and regional storytelling conferences.
