Heartless giants and greedy trolls are not simply the stuff of fairy tales. Our fall season begins with myth and symbolic stories whose power lies in their deeply personal relevance to the here and now. Therese Plair, Regina Ress, and Laura Simms tell traditional tales of confrontation with demons, inner and outer, stories that reach out from the past with both warnings and messages of hope to strengthen us in this era of violence, abuse, and ignorance armed for destruction.
