"America stands unique in the world: the only country not founded on race, but in a way, on an ideal. Not in spite of, but because of our polyglot background, we have all the strength in the world.” (President Ronald Reagan). Join us as Alton Chung leads us on a voyage of discovery to answer the question, “What is it like to be the ‘other’?” His stories of the experiences of the Chinese in the 1850s and the Japanese in the 1940s explore immigration, otherness, and forgiveness.
Appropriate for adults and youth 12 and older.
