Save the Date: 23rd annual NJ Storytelling Festival, September 2016

Feast your ears and eyes! Come enjoy stories of fantasy, heartbreak, wisdom, and whimsy in a fabulous sculpture park setting at the New Jersey Storytelling Festival. Save the date for the 23rd annual NJ Storytelling Festival September 18 at the Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton NJ.

The festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Tellers will regale listeners with tales for all ages at indoor and outdoor sites throughout the Grounds.

A story slam with the theme “Out of the Frying Pan” will begin the fun at noon; contestants will be chosen at random to recount their story in five minutes or less.

The event’s signature close, the Lightening Round, will polish off the afternoon with 10 tellers who perform two-minute tales in rapid succession.

Prior to the festival, workshops are offered from 9:45-11:45 a.m. for educators and others interested in storytelling techniques.
