10th CCM Annual Storytelling & World Music Festival

Known for his spell-binding talent and winning warmth, Van Egmond will perform talescelebratingthe coming of Spring. Following an age-old tradition, listeners will choose one by one from an assortment of intriguing objects out of the “Story Bag”, each representing a tale for the telling. There will be stories (and a song or two) about the sun, the weather, and bugs and beasts that abound. Van Egmond will accompany himself with guitar, dulcimer, mouth bow, and lumberjack (a wooden puppet that taps out a rhythm dancing on a paddleboard). Renowned author and storyteller Jane Yolen has said “Tim is a triple treat. He can sing, he can play a variety of wonderful instruments, and he can tell whopping good tales!” Joining Tim will be New Jersey storytellers Kathryn Weidener and Michelle Washington Wilson.
